Dr. Lawrence has a real passion for creative writing. She is a published author
having published a novella, a Jamaican love story, entitled “Are They Really”; a
collection of poems entitled “Color My Soul In Shades of Red (My Life in My Nutshell)”
and is currently working on her third novel “Evil Peeks through My Tinted Glass
Window” and a children’s book “I am Marley, The Jamdung Dog”.

I Am Marley, The Jamdung dog...The Kind, Kind, Kind Dog is a children's book about a talking Yorkshire Terrier who describes himself as being kind. He is kind to everybody he meets and he wants the entire world to know that he is kind even when his incessant barking gets his neighbors upset. He argues that he barks to say "hello" and "how do you do". He argues that being kind is also being respectful and that he shows respect to his parents, his teachers and to all his friends and implores everyone to always do good and to be kind to everyone.

Color My Soul In Shades of Red...(My Life in My Nutshell) is a collection of poems written over a period of many years spanning two countries, Jamaica and the United States and is based on the author's life; observations of others life stories and of political and world views. The poems are insightful, serious, and sometimes interjected with a little bit of her kind of humor. Overall they are a true reflection of what the author sees, hears and feels deep into her soul.
